Mr Khuliso Ramulondi is the founding director and senior environmental consultant at Mielelani Consultancy. He is a registered environmental scientist and a registered environmental assessment practitioner (EAP). He holds a Bachelor of Earth Science Honors Degree in Mining and Environmental Geology. He has over seven years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. Khuliso has provided environmental services to various projects in Construction, Mining, Agriculture, Waste Management, Solar Energy and Nature Reserves for both the Private and Government Sector. Khuliso has managed and conducted Environmental Impact Assessment, Compliance Monitoring and Auditing, Integrated Waste & Water Management Licences for Mining Permits/Rights, Landfill Closure, Road Construction, Solar Power Generation and Agriculture.
He has through his career serviced clients such as City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, Eskom, COEGA Development Corporation, uMkhanyakude District Municipality, Thulamela Municipality, eMalahleni Municipality and other private entities.
He is a registered member of the EAPASA, South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP), Geological Society of South Africa (GSSA), and International Association for Impact Assessment South Africa (IAIASA).
His career highlights include serving as an ECO for Tshwane Automobile Special Economic Zone; ECO for ESKOM’s 400kV Powerline Construction in Free State Province; EIA for hazardous Waste management License in Hammanskraal; EIA for Mining Rights Applications in North-West Province, several EIA projects for prospecting rights application in KZN, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Western Cape, Free State, Gauteng and North West Province.
Miss Yvonne Gutoona a Certificated Natural Scientist have over 10 years of experience performing environmental services for various sectors. She has serviced both the private and government sector at municipal to national level. The environmental services she is experienced in includes Water Use License Application (WULA), Environmental Authorisations (EA) in terms of Basic Assessment Report (BAR), and Scoping & Environmental Impact Report (S&EIR), Integrated Water and Waste Management Plans (IWWMP), Environmental Compliance Auditing and Monitoring, and Public Participation Process Facilitation.
Ms Yvonne holds Bachelor of Science (Geography and Geology) she obtained from University of Zimbabwe and Radiation Safety officer certificate obtained from Uranium Institute-Chamber of Mines. She is a qualified and experienced Geographical Information System (GIS) Technician.
Phathutshedzo is a registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner with EAPASA and a registered professional member with the Society of South African Geographers (SSAG). He holds Honours Degree in Geography and a Bachelor Degree in Environmental Sciences. Phathutshedzo has 9 years of practice as an EAP. He has also worked as a Waste Officer for a period of one year. In his career as an EAP has successfully managed EIA for prospecting rights application, water use license, waste management license and construction. Phathutshedzo has in his past roles as well as his current role as an EAP at Mielelani served as an Environmental Control Officer providing Monitoring and Auditing services. Honors highly motivated and experienced environmental practitioner, experienced in projects management, site assessments, environmental reports compilation and consultations.
Mr Mugagadeli is a qualified GIS technician trained by ESRI South Africa and is capable of using various GIS software programs. Phathutshedzo has gained extensive experience in tree species identification and his willingness to learn has greatly improved his understanding of various legislature regulating environmental management sector. He has good organizational skills and leadership qualities with exceptional project management skills.
Dr Luambo J. Ramarumo is an accredited Professional Natural Scientist (Pr.Nat.Sci.) in the field of Botanical Science, by the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP). He holds Doctor of Philosophy in Ethnobotany Degree, Master of Science in Botany, Bachelor of Science Honours in Botany, Bachelor of Science in Conservation and Biodiversity and a GIS Course Certificate. Dr. Ramarumo is an accomplished scientific scholar with more than seven (07) years of combined experiences in the environmental consulting sector and academia. Through his career in the environmental consulting sector, Dr. Ramarumo has provided Specialist Environmental Services to various projects in Mining, Construction, Waste Management, Water Service Sector, Forestry and Conservation for both Private and Public sector. So far, Dr. Ramarumo has published a total of eight (08) Scientific Research Articles in DHET’s accredited and peer-reviewed journals.
Some of the recent environmental projects Dr. Ramarumo worked on included serving as Ecology Specialist for prospecting and mining rights applications in Limpopo, KZN, Western Cape and North West Province.
Dr. Ramarumo ‘s research interests involve multidisciplinary and participatory research approach which includes incorporating social and natural sciences together, and his area of specialization included, Vegetation Ecology, Biodiversity Conservation, Community Engagement, Ethnobotany (Human-Plants-Use-Relations), Threatened Plant Species, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Linda is an environmental practice professional with Honours Degree in Environmental Management and currently pursuing Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences. She has a burning passion for environmental conservation and her Honours Thesis was in Conservation Ecology. Linda has working experience in nature conservation obtained whilst working at a state owned nature reserve in Limpopo Province.
Ms Ngwagwe is also experienced in enforcing and monitoring compliance to environmental regulations and policies as she has previously worked as an Environmental Control Officer (ECO). She has a good understanding of South African environmental legislative requirements prior and during projects undertakings as well as during their operational phases.
Linda is an open minded person who can easily integrate with people from various fields and is also an experienced social surveyor. Ms Ngwagwe skills includes public consultations, implementation of environmental management legislations and policies, impacts identification, assessment and management, ecology assessments, projects administration, and socioeconomic studies.

Nobukhosi Angel Dlamini is a junior environmental scientist at Mielelani consultancy. She holds a BSc Geography and Environmental Management Degree obtained from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
She has over a year experience as an environmental assessment practitioner. She has actively participated in various projects, serving as the junior Environmental Assessment Practitioner and Environmental Control Officer, some of the projects she has worked on include serving as the junior ECO is Tshwane Automotive Socio Economic Zone (TASEZ), conducting weekly monitoring and monthly audits. She has served as junior EAP for coal prospecting rights application in KwaZulu Natal and Metal Prospecting rights in Limpopo and Mpumalanga. She was primarily responsible for planning and undertaking of the public participation process.
Ms Dlamini is also a qualified GIS Technician a role she has been effectively practicing at Mielelani. She has good work ethics, willing to learn and has good understanding of the environmental and water management legislations.
Mr Mpho Mphephu is a dynamic professional with five years of experience as a projects administrator in environmental consulting industry. He has worked in the industry for over eight years conducting Public Consultation in terms of the Minerals and Resource Development Act No 22 of 2002 and Public Participation Process in terms of the National Environmental Management Act No 107 of 1998 and its EIA Regulations. He is fully aware of legislative requirements when undertaking environmental projects and timeframes as stipulated by the NEMA Regulations.
His set of skills also include effective Resource Allocation and Management, Activity Scheduling, Project Costing, Progress Tracking, Interested and Affected Parties Consultation, Authority Consultation, and Property (Land) Access Negotiations
Takalani holds certificate in Office Administration obtained from Vhembe TVET College. She joined Mielelani Consultancy as a graduate in 2019 and has since been exceling at her administrative role. She has provided administrative support to various projects and has gained experience in NEMA Regulations and their strict timeframes..
